Application Process
1. Application Process for Non-MoU Track
STEP 1: Explore our courses
Course Fees:
- 1 course (for 4-5 weeks) = USD 250 per course
- 1 course (for 6 weeks) = USD 375 per course
- 1 course (for 7-8 weeks) = USD 500 per course
- For the Department of Preventive Medicine, the fee is USD 500.
Important Note: Please be aware that cancellations made after you begin your elective program will not be eligible for a refund.
STEP 2: See available dates
After selecting your department and course, check the available program dates.
Note: If your desired departments or courses aren’t available, please contact our coordinator, Ms. Sawanee, at chulamed.international@gmail.com for further assistance.
STEP 3: Considering accommodation (optional)
Our on-campus dormitory within the Faculty of Medicine offers a convenient solution. Located steps from the hospital, you can reach your department within a 5-10 minute walk.
Please be aware that accommodation prices are fixed. For the comfort and safety of all residents, smoking, drinking, and hosting guests in the rooms are prohibited.
STEP 4: Complete the application form
Download and Complete the Application Form (.docx File).
**Ensure all application sections are completed thoroughly and accurately. To enroll in multiple courses at different times, specify the desired dates and departments within a single application form.
STEP 5: Prepare required documents and items
You are required to prepare the following documents and items:
- Student’s Curriculum Vitae (CV) (PDF)
- Recent passport-sized photo with high quality (JPG/PNG)
- Recommendation Letter from Dean and Supervisor (PDF)
- Letter of Intention or Statement of Purpose (PDF)
- The main page of your passport (PDF)
- Completed Application Form from Step 4 (DOC / DOCX)**
- Immunization Record (View Required Vaccinations)
STEP 6: Send all required documents and items
To ensure a smooth application process, please submit all required documents and items in a single email. If you have a large number of documents, kindly compress them into a ZIP/RAR file before sending.
An email subject: Completed Application for MDCU Elective Program – [Your Name]
Submit all required documents and items to chulamed.international@gmail.com at least 4-6 months before your start date.
Pre-Arrival Stage
Once your desired department confirms your participation, we will send you an acceptance letter to support your visa application (if required) to your email (Subject: Congratulations! Your Elective is Confirmed).
If your chosen department becomes unavailable during your proposed period, we will notify you via email to discuss alternative options.
For any additional visa application documents, feel free to contact our coordinator, Ms. Sawanee, at chulamed.international@gmail.com.
Please note that we will send you a follow-up email (Subject: Please Confirm Your Arrival) to finalize your arrival details and elective schedule. Kindly respond to that email at your earliest convenience.
Please note that your chosen course and dates are final after acceptance. We cannot accommodate changes once your participation is confirmed. However, if you need to cancel your participation, kindly submit a cancellation letter to us as soon as possible.
Important Note: To ensure a smooth start to your elective program, please settle both course fees (USD) and accommodation fees (THB) on your first day. Your program will commence upon receipt of both payments.
The Financial Office accepts only clean, undamaged US dollar bills. Please bring the exact amount.
2. Application Process for MoU Track
List of International Partnering Universities with the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University (Faculty Level)
STEP 1: Contact the coordinator of your institution
To facilitate the nomination process, we kindly request that the coordinator of your institution submit the list of nominated students to our coordinator, Mr. Watcharapol, at watcharapol.medchula@gmail.com.
If your institution hasn’t nominated you, you can still apply to our elective program through the non-MoU track.

Browse our course information, including available departments and specific courses.
STEP 3: See available dates

Remark: For applications submitted under the MoU track, course fees will be waived. However, accommodation fees (in Thai Baht) must be paid on your first day of the program.
