MDCU Hosts Delegation from the University of Southampton

Bangkok, Thailand – On January 16, 2025, the MDCU International Affairs Executive Team welcomed Ms. Donna Haynes, Regional Head of International Recruitment and Partnerships, Global Recruitment and Admissions, from the University of Southampton, UK.

The meeting, attended by Assoc. Prof. Naricha Chirakalwasan (Associate Dean for International Affairs), Assoc. Prof. Parit Mekaroonkamol (Assistant Dean for International Affairs), Asst. Prof. Nattawan Utoomprurkporn (Assistant Professor in Otoneurology), Dr. Chavit Tunvirachaisakul (Lecturer in Geriatric Psychiatry), and Dr. Thanyaporn Hengpongtorn (Lecturer in Gerontology), focused on potential research collaborations in hearing, speech, and balance, as well as geriatric psychiatry and gerontology. The meeting also explored opportunities for collaborative research funding.

Following the meeting, Ms. Haynes was given a tour of key excellence centers, including the Geriatric Excellence Center, the Hearing, Speech, and Balance Center, and the Dementia Day Care Center.
