Small & Big Talk

Have Your Say

Once a month, for our elective students, we hold an informal meeting to discuss their experiences at MDCU thus far. We call this ‘small talk’. The idea is for the students to share their stories regarding what they have been doing on and off their electives. We encourage them to share both good and bad times, what they have learnt, and what we could do better as an establishment. These meetings are always light hearted and comforting for our international team as the reports are always very positive – revealing an overwhelming satisfaction on their electives and living in Central Bangkok.

In comparison, we hold a similar event for our long term students: research students, master degree level students, and Ph.D. students; we call it, ‘Big Talk’. The same principles as Small talk apply: we share experiences both negatively and positively, and get to know each other a little better, but for ‘Big Talk’ we play games, hold quizzes and give out prizes! All in the attempt to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
